Lagoon - Dora Jar
Inspired by the song “Lagoon” - Dora Jar, I fabricated a human heart from insulation foam and latex, and dropped it into my own little lagoon world with kissing crabs. Music created by my good friend Jonathan Wilson aka “Mount Squishy”
Human Heart
- wall insulation foam, rubber latex, yarn, pantyhose
- shot in Dragonframe and keyed in After Effects
Lagoon Set
- set pieces: foam core, perilite, dry pigments, cornstarch, sand, insulation foam
- dressings: found garbage (clean), plastic bag kelp, dyed moss, space plants
The lagoon set was dressed with found plastic garbage and kelp fabricated from 1 plastic grocery bag as a nod to ocean plastics. Three pieces make up the whole lagoon background, which includes 2 abstract “seabed” pieces staggered
one in front of the other and a flat in the back.
